That number doesn’t even seem real right now. 82 freaking tilts. So many emotions that are bubbling to the surface. I’m not going to even attempt to form coherent sentences.

Possible playoff opponents. Presidents’ Trophy still up for grabs. Lot’s of questions, a lot of hand wringing.

In reality, none of this matters. What matters is Wednesday. A win tonight would be great; it is to be expected, and yearned for with the white hot passion of a thousand burning suns. A loss? Not the end of the world. Endlessly worrying about who we may face in the first round, who we match up well with, they’re all good ways to get your jollies. At the end of the day however? Nothing but a recipe for gray hairs and the first sign of developing a nasty drug habit.
