Battle of California Anaheim Calling

Hope everyone enjoyed their stockings filled with coal yesterday. My barbeque will be running for months.

I’m still not sold on how the Sharks have played in the month of December, with the wins against Dallas and Chicago due in large part to the play of Evgeni Nabokov. Timely goals are a big plus obviously, but the team won’t find a lot of long term success if they continue to get outshot at even strength to the tune of 39-8. Those numbers don’t even seem real.

The plan is to take a much more in-depth look at these trends later on in the week, but for now let’s enjoy the holiday spirits (both literally and figuratively), have a blast at FTF Night At The Tank (Firehouse #1 on San Pedro before the game– we’ll leave for HP Pavilion around 6:45), and root against those villainous Anaheim Ducks (who are on a relative roll in their last seven considering the trouble they’ve had accumulating standings points this year).

Hope everyone had a great time with their families the last few days.

Prediction: Sharks win 5-2. Goals by Malhotra, Heatley, Blake, and McGinn (x2).

Go Sharks.
