Sharks recall Mirco Mueller

Mirco Mueller has been recalled to the Sharks, likely as a result of the injury Brenden Dillon received against the Blackhawks. Dillon didn’t participate in the morning skate today, so it looks like Mueller will have a shot to slot right back into the lineup.

His 39 games with the big club this season haven’t exactly been a revelation and from the sounds of things he hasn’t set the world on fire with the Barracuda either. There’s still time (defenders seem to take a bit longer to develop) but it’s fair to say the Sharks were hoping he wouldn’t be doing any yo-yo-ing between the ‘Cuda and Sharks this season.

As it stands, so long as Mueller doesn’t have to play against noted Space God Johnny Gaudreau, the Flames aren’t such a bad opponent for him to get some work against.

Besides, it sounds like the Sharks are starting Alex Stalock, so this should be a real emotional roller coaster anyway.
