Sharks vs. Canucks Lines: Battle of the backups

The Sharks and Canucks are both running out their backup goalies in their third matchup of the week. After Martin Jones won both matchups with Ryan Miller, James Reimer will get a chance against Jacob Markstrom in his Sharks debut. Markstrom has only faced the Sharks once in his career and he lasted less than eight minutes, allowing three goals on four shots before getting pulled in a 6–2 Sharks win.

In front of Reimer, Micheal Haley will be back in the lineup with Tommy Wingels and Melker Karlsson both unavailable. Haley fought Derek Dorsett on Thursday night after Dorsett slashed Joe Thornton, so it wouldn’t be surprising if his presence on the ice led to more shenanigans.
