Sharks vs. Devils Preview: Starting the home stretch

San Jose plays nine of its next 10 at SAP Center.

After a successful road trip in Alberta, the Sharks return home for three straight games to play New Jersey for the second time this season. The Devils, while not technically eliminated, are not going to the playoffs this year but their low-event style of play (lowest corsi for and against events per 60 minutes in the NHL!) can be tough to unpack, even for a team as offensively adept as the Sharks.

Martin Jones will likely be back in net as the Sharks new goalie tandem played excellently on Monday and Tuesday night — the pair combined to allow a grand total of zero even strength goals against the Oilers and Flames. Not bad. James Reimer still hasn't allowed an even strength goal in his two games as a Shark.
