Sharks vs. Oilers Preview: Looking for an Alberta sweep

Following a god-given performance by Martin Jones on Monday night, the Sharks will look to play much better and attain the same result against the Edmonton Oilers. We’ll get a chance to see Connor McDavid in action for former Sharks head coach Todd McLellan and…well we have no idea who is going to start for the Sharks, though it seems like the lines will stay the same.

This is the penultimate meeting between the Sharks and OIlers. San Jose is 1-0-1 against Edmonton this season — both games went to overtime and the Sharks only win came in a shootout. The Sharks will meet the Oilers once more on March 24.

Please don’t start Martin Jones.

Last Meeting

San Jose outshot Edmonton, and thoroughly outplayed the Oilers, but it took a shootout for the Sharks to get two points.

Storylines
  • Coming off a magical performance last night, it seems like Martin Jones might actually start again. That would be pretty stupid.
  • San Jose’s schedule the rest of the way isn’t particularly easy, so getting points against the Oilers is important./
