Sharks will open first-round series against Los Angeles on Thursday

Following the conclusion of the regular season, the NHL released dates, times and television information for each of its eight quarterfinal series. Here’s the lowdown on Sharks/Kings. Local TV details have yet to be announced but it’s probably a safe assumption CSN California will cover the full slate. Update: According to Brodie Brazil, all games will be carried on CSN-CA as expected.

Game Date Time Venue TV

5* Saturday, 4/26 TBD SAP Center CSN-CA, NBCSN, CBC
6* Monday, 4/28 TBD Staples Center CSN-CA, NBCSN, CBC
7* Wednesday, 4/30 TBD SAP Center CSN-CA, NBCSN, CBC

A Juan Gabriel concert at the SAP Center on Saturday, April 19th means a two-day break between Games 1 and 2 with the second contest of the series a Sunday night game at the Tank. An extra day to practice (three other series begin on April 16th) can only benefit the Sharks who hope to reintegrate Tomas Hertl and Raffi Torres into their lineup; they’ve never had the two top-nine forwards healthy at the same time this season. Four more sleeps until the most wonderful time of the year begins in earnest. Get excited.
