Tuesday Sharks Links: Hertl, Goodrow, Mueller to return from Worcester

  • Tomas Hertl, Barclay Goodrow and Mirco Mueller are unsurprisingly expected to return from Worcester, where they spent the All-Star break, in time for today’s practice. Hertl notched two assists in two games during his first ever stint in the AHL while Mueller scored a power play goal over the weekend. [CSN Bay Area]
  • More on Nikita Jevpalovs, the forward San Jose signed to an entry-level deal as an undrafted free agent yesterday. Jevpalovs has starred for his native Latvia internationally, scoring 33 points in 34 career IIHF games. [Hockey’s Future]
  • Kevin Kurz grades the Sharks’ forwards, defensemen and goalies at the break. John Scott gets a B, hopefully for “bad.” [CSN Bay Area]
  • L.A. placed Mike Richards on waivers and will likely reassign him to the AHL once he inevitably clears, which unfortunately means no more watching Joe Thornton completely embarrass the diminutive forward every time they were matched up against each other. [Pro Hockey Talk]
  • Elliotte Friedman’s weekly 30 Thoughts column covers that topic and more. [Sportsnet]
  • Three keys to the Sharks’ making the playoffs this season, including perhaps the most important: acquiring another defenseman. [The Hockey Writers]
  • Finally, here’s another preview of EPIX’s upcoming Road to the Stadium Series show. [Twitter]/
