Vegas Golden Knights claim Ryan Carpenter off waivers

The Vegas Golden Knights have won the Ryan Carpenter sweepstakes, claiming the 26-year-old forward off waivers this morning. Carpenter leaves the Sharks with 28 NHL games played over three seasons, two goals, three assists, and six penalty minutes. He played 206 games with the AHL San Jose Barracuda over four seasons, totaling 44 goals, 86 assists, and 105 penalty minutes.

After placing Carpenter on waivers, the Sharks called up forward Danny O’Regan from the Barracuda. Carpenter will face off against his former team in February when the Golden Knights visit the Sharks at SAP Center. In the meantime, Vegas will face off against the Pittsburgh Penguins tomorrow night.

Best of luck to Carpy in this next stage of his career.
