Jets at Sharks: Lines, gamethread, and where to watch

The San Jose Sharks are hot right now, but they aren’t quite out of the woods in regard to their early season struggles. Though a win tonight would be their tenth in 11 games, the Sharks’ current three-game win streak has been won entirely in overtime, with all three games too close for comfort. A team that is trying to make up lost points shouldn’t be leaving any on the table for their opponents, and it may be an indication that the Sharks are due to regress soon.

This Winnipeg Jets team should give the Sharks a run for their money. When the two met at the beginning of the month, the Jets left SAP Center with a 3-2 victory under their belts and since then have lost just three times — only one more loss than San Jose in that same stretch.

The Sharks are continuing to run 11 forwards and 7 defensemen with the continued absence of Tomas Hertl. Martin Jones will be getting the night off, as Aaron Dell takes his turn in net.
