World Junior Hockey 2016 schedule: Canada faces Sweden
All three Sharks prospects are in action today at the World Juniors
After soundly defeating Switzerland by a score of 10-1 yesterday, the United States doesn't get any time to rest before facing Denmark this morning in Helsinki.
With a win and a Sweden loss to Canada the US will win Group A. Sweden's fate is in their own hands, though, as they currently lead the group with nine points and lead the US in goal differential by one. Canada is likely to finish third in the group.
Over in Group B Russia and the Czech Republic will battle it out for first place. The winner of that game will finish first in the group, followed by Finland. It's looking like Denmark, Switzerland, Belarus and Slovakia will be competing in the relegation round.
After a day off for everyone on Friday, the playoffs are set to begin on Saturday. Group winners get a bye for the first round, so tomorrow's games hold a lot of weight.
