World Junior Championships: Timo Meier, Switzerland take on Sweden

World Junior Championships are upon us as Sharks prospects Timo Meier and Noah Rod help open the tournament with team Switzerland against Sweden. If you got up this early, first of all, god bless you. For those reading this after the completion of the game, don’t fret, we’ll have a roundup post at the end of the day to let you know how all three Sharks prospects did in today’s action.

Canada will play the United States at 10 a.m., also on the NHL Network, and we’ll have a gamethread posted and ready for that as well.

Sweden finished fourth in the 2015 edition of the tournament, while Switzerland did not advance out of the group stage, finishing last in Group B. The Swiss will certainly be looking for a better go in this year’s tournament and they have a chance to make a statement right out of the gate against a tough customer.
