Game Sixty-Five Wrapup: San Jose Sharks 2, St. Louis Blues 0
Truly a win of the most satisfying king. The Sharks played a complete game in this one. They're clearly getting the message Ron Wilson has been preaching to them all season: talent doesn't matter if you don't compete. This time out, compete they did.
Brian Boucher, who at this point in his journeyman career understands he has to make the most of this opportunity as it could well be his last shot in the NHL, played a solid game in net. After having spent all season wondering what would happen when Evgeni Nabokov inevitably ran out of gas, 'tis a sweet sight indeed to see the Sharks now have a backup they can run out against the lesser teams without fear of everything imploding. That Phantoms helmet has got to go, though. I'm assuming something in teal is already on order.
Solid and satisfying. We could get used to this!
