Fear the Fin is an independent publication dedicated to covering all things San Jose Sharks hockey. It has a storied history of Sharks fans covering Sharks hockey.

Fear the Fin launched as an independent site. It joined SB Nation and grew throughout the years. Under the guidance of Managing Editor Sie Morley, Fear the Fin served the Sharks community as a source of Sharks news and analysis and a place to gather to share a love of all things hockey.

In early 2023, Fear the Fin writers learned Vox Media and SB Nation would no longer support the site. On April 1, 2023, Fear the Fin went back to its roots and became independent once again.  

While Sie is no longer at the helm, we are excited about what this new chapter in Fear the Fin's story will bring and what we can provide to the community in the future.
