[Open Thread] Game Seventy-Three: San Jose Sharks at Los Angeles Kings
Remember when the Kings were relevant and Patrick Marleau was on the ice for twenty shifts a game without actually playing a single minute?
Thankfully the latter is now in the rear view mirror. As to the former, although there are the occasional noises about youth and potential, think back to those days of yore when aficionados of Los Tiburones kept hearing the same thing about all the bright prospects on their team. You know, legends in the making like, oh, Brad Stuart and Andrei Zyuzin and other great draft picks made by that mastermind Dean Lombardi. Sarcasm aside, while he did occasionally get it right, is there any question San Jose is far better off with Doug Wilson at the helm? And with Lombardi in La-La Land? Ah well. Their problem, not ours.
Okay, let's drop the puck.
