2019 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs first round schedule released

While the San Jose Sharks’ date with the Vegas Golden Knights has been set, the actual dates of their meetings were released this morning, along with the full schedule for the first round of the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The Sharks will have home-ice advantage, opening the series in San Jose for Games 1 and 2,  in addition to Games 5 and 7, if necessary. These two teams met in the 2018 playoffs in a second round series that saw the Sharks eliminated in six games, winning the most games (two) of any team who faced the Golden Knights before the Washington Capitals defeated them in the Cup Final.

Here’s the full first round schedule for this series:

All games will have their usual radio broadcast on 98.5 KFOX. The TV broadcast is still to be determined.

Eight other teams will open their series on Wednesday, April 10. The Tampa Bay Lightning will host the Columbus Blue Jackets, the New York Islanders will host the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Nashville Predators will host the Dallas Stars and the Winnipeg Jets will host the St. Louis Blues. All other series will begin on Thursday.
