Former Ducks defender Ben Lovejoy is likely familiar to Sharks fans who saw him play in Anaheim for several years before his trade to Pittsburgh. Now skating with Olli Maatta in the second defensive pairing, Lovejoy is a pretty average defender. He can score occasionally and is slightly above average in possession play but isn’t particularly flashy and infrequently memorable.
Lovejoy has four points during this postseason run and tallied 10 points in 66 games with the Penguins this season. Two of his four postseason points came on assists in the last two games of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
