Canucks at Sharks (game 10): Lines, game thread and how to watch

Tonight's game between the San Jose Sharks and the Vancouver Canucks will be David Quinn's 300th as a head coach. Nikita Okhotiuk could make his debut in teal.

Tonight will mark San Jose Sharks Head Coach David Quinn’s 300th NHL game behind the bench. Quinn’s career includes three seasons with the New York Rangers. He is in his second season with the Sharks.

The Sharks are still searching for that first win of the season. The team hasn’t played since Sunday, when it lost to the Washington Capitals 3-1. Meanwhile, the Canucks have had a solid start to the season. The team is 6-2-1 and is coming off of a 5-2 win over the Nashville Predators on Tuesday.

Look out for Elias Pettersson, who has 16 points in 9 games. He’s one of four Canucks players that are on more than a point per game pace. The other three are J.T. Miller (13), Quinn Hughes (11) and Brock Boeser (10). Boeser leads the team with six goals.

Tonight’s game will also mark the first time that Kyle Burroughs has faced the Canucks since failing to sign with the team in the offseason. Burroughs offered The Mercury News’ Curtish Pashelka some insight into his game plan tonight while facing former teammate Pettersson.

San Jose Sharks lines

The Sharks have placed Matt Benning on injured reserve since the team last played. Management has also recalled Nikita Okhotiuk from his conditioning assignment with the Barracuda and reactivated Jacob MacDonald. That means there could be some changes to the lineup.
