Canucks at Sharks (game 21): Lines, game thread and how to watch

The San Jose Sharks host the Vancouver Canucks for the third meeting in the past three weeks. The Canucks won the first two games 10-1 and 3-1.

The San Jose Sharks welcome the Vancouver Canucks back to SAP Center tonight for the third meeting in as many weeks between the two teams. The last time that Vancouver paid a visit to the Shark Tank, the Canucks dropped a ten spot on the Sharks. San Jose battled back in the series and put in a yeoman’s effort on Monday evening when it lost by a respectable 3-1. However, the Sharks would still like to pull out a win over their Pacific Division foes.

Both San Jose and Vancouver played yesterday. Despite leading the Montreal Canadiens by a score of 2-1 heading into the third period, the Sharks could not manage to keep Montreal off the board. The Canadiens scored in the third period and then outlasted the Sharks in the shootout to win it 3-2. Meanwhile, the Canucks are on a similar road trip to the Sharks. Game one of the two-game swing took Vancouver to Seattle last night, where the Canucks beat the Kraken 5-1. Now, the trip wraps up in San Jose.

San Jose Sharks lines

The Sharks are doing some line juggling as short-term injuries continue to plague the team. It looks like Kevin Labanc is back after missing a few games with an upper-body injury. Meanwhile, Filip Zadina is out. He stopped taking shifts partway through yesterday’s game. It sounds like Kaapo Kahkonen will start, per The Mercury News’ Curtis Pashelka.
