It’s only been two games since the Sharks got a shake up in the form of Evander Kane, but it doesn’t feel too soon to say it feels good to be a Sharks fan right now. With a nice stretch of home games in front of them, the Sharks are starting out the way they failed to on their most recent road trip: winning.
Turns out, winning feels pretty good.
Just ask the ladies of the US Women’s National Team, who took home gold from the 2018 Olympics in PyeongChang after defeating Team Canada in a shootout.
Jocelyne Lamoureux-Davidson detailed that gold medal game, as well as the struggles Team USA has faced over the last year in her piece for the Player’s Tribune. From the roots of the shootout move she used to win, to their Be Bold for Change campaign that saw women’s hockey fight for resources equal to their male counterparts, to Worlds and then PyeongChang, these women have done so much more than just make an incredible comeback over Canada. They set a stage for little girls everywhere.
