Just two days after the team he once coached beat the team he now coaches in the city he used to call home, Todd McLellan is selling his house in San Jose.
McLellan was the head coach of the Sharks from 2008 until 2015, his first head coaching job in the NHL. He took the Sharks to two Conference Finals and their first-ever Presidents’ Trophy. He became the Sharks’ winningest coach in history, in addition to passing Darryl Sutter for most number of games coached on the Sharks.
The Sharks finished in the top three of the Pacific Division from 2008 through 2014 under McLellan’s tenure. Finishing fifth in the Pacific and missing playoffs in 2015 saw the Sharks mutually agree to part ways with McLellan.
Since 2015, he’s maintained his $2.499 million five bedroom home in San Jose, though he has lived in Edmonton while coaching the Oilers.
