The NHL has suspended Evander Kane for one game following his crosscheck to the head of Vega Golden Knight Pierre-Edouard Bellemare. Kane will miss Game 2 of their second round series at T-Mobile Arena.
The incident occurred in the third period of Game 1 last night, also in Vegas. The Knights went on to win, 7-0.

Joe Thornton did practice with the team today in a white top-line jersey, alongside Kane and Joe Pavelski. It’s the first time he’s practiced without a no-contact jersey. Kane has been a force in replacing Joe Thornton’s production, so if Jumbo still isn’t ready to come back, Game 2 could be a rough one for the Sharks. Joonas Donskoi did not participate in today’s practice, as well.
