Fear the Five: All Star Edition

Happy Monday, Sharks fans! This weekend was packed with comedy, action, and competition at the 2018 All-Star Game. The San Jose Sharks sent Brent Burns and Sharkie to Tampa for the game, so let’s count down the best posts from this weekend.

#5: Meet Me in San Jose

In case you missed it, the NHL announced this weekend that San Jose will host next year’s All-Star Game. It looks like Tampa’s Thunder Bug has already passed the baton to our own Sharkie.

#4: Everybody Loves Sharkie

Brent Burns’ wife, Susan, took over the San Jose Sharks’ Instagram account for the All-Star weekend. Not only did she post fin-tastic photos of Burns on the ice, doing press junkets, and spending time with his kids, she and the kids also took time to hang out with Sharkie.

#3: Tale As Old As Time

When you’re both a beauty AND a beast.

Everyone loves a happy Wookie, especially when he’s our happy Wookie! (Is it a faux pas to mix pop culture references? Too late.)

#2: Beards Galore

Whoever decided to photoshop Burns’ beard onto his son is a genius. If there’s an All-Star tournament for photoshop skills, this person gets our vote.

#1: The Fin One

Our favorite mascot with The Great One? No contest, that’s number one in our book.

Bonus: A Very Sharkie Birthday

January 28th is Sharkie’s birthday and the Sharks had a great highlight reel ready to go of Sharkie’s first year in action. Spending the weekend in sunny Tampa with his mascot buddies was a great way to celebrate. Happy birthday, Sharkie!

That’s all for this week, folks! If you want to see more pictures, videos, and GIFs from this weekend, check out San Jose’s Twitter and Instagram.
