The Calgary Flames enter SAP Center tonight for the second of three meetings between the two teams this season. The Sharks beat the Flames 6-3 on Feb. 15. Mackenzie Blackwood won the game, and Filip Zadina had a career-high four-point game, scoring two goals and two assists.
Addison and Quinn say that Addison got a misconduct in the last game for “banter” with another opposing player, nothing said to an official.

Quinn has never heard of a misconduct for that, says Grier is checking in with the NHL on that
According to San Jose Hockey Now’s Sheng Peng, the Sharks are looking for an explanation from the league about why Calen Addison was ejected from Sunday’s game. It was the second game in a row that Addison was ejected from the game for something he said. In the first incident, he reportedly said something to a ref. This second time around, the ref didn’t seem to like the “banter” that Addison was having with another player. Might need to call in JomBoy Media for clarification on what exactly was said.
Like the Sharks, the Flames will not be playing in the postseason. Calgary is in the lottery, along with the Sharks. Right now, the Flames are 25th in the league. Calgary has a worse record than the Sharks in the last ten games, going 2-8-0.
The one advantage the Sharks have going for them is the power play. The Sharks have the 17th best power play in the NHL, operating at 20.9%. The Flames’ penalty kill is 11th best in the league, running at 80.7%.
Calgary’s top points getter is Nazem Kadri with 66 in 76 games. Yegor Sharangovich broke the 30-goal mark and has 56 points in 76 games this season. Look for Gilroy native Dustin Wolf to start in the net tonight for the Flames.
