Golden Knights at Sharks (preseason game 1): Open thread and how to watch

Wait what? It’s time for preseason hockey? Why yes. Yes, it is. The Sharks skate into the Tank today with a new logo at center ice.

This is preseason, so take the game with a grain of salt. If you recall, the Sharks won all but one preseason game last year and, well, look how that turned out. What I’m saying is enjoy the ride, don’t get too caught up in the end result.

With that said, this first ride of the season will be a fun one. While the Sharks are required to play a certain number of veterans each preseason game, the team mostly gives its young players a shot before they’re sent back to the minors.

How to Watch

Today’s game will be nationally televised on the NHL Network. If you don’t have the NHL Network, you can live stream from the Sharks website at www.sjsharks.com. The radio call will be streamed through the Sharks Audio Network. Puck drop is 5:00 p.m. PT/8:00 p.m. ET at SAP Center.
