Mirco Mueller sent back to Barracuda

If the Sharks wanted defender Mirco Mueller to watch last night’s loss to the Nashville Predators, they could’ve just bought him a ticket (hey-o). The Swiss defender has been sent back to the Barracuda, as part of his ongoing yo-yo experience.

The good news is he doesn’t have to go very far, and his brief time with the Sharks meant he got to hang out with Tomas Hertl and Brent Burns during warmups. The Barracuda are at home this weekend against the Ontario Reign on Sunday. If that’s something you’re into you can get tickets here.

Mueller has played just three games with the Barracuda and only once with the Sharks. I assume he’s being called up and sent down primarily to get more work in with the big club, even while he’s getting his playing time with the AHL affiliate. As long as he’s not rotting in the press box of SAP Center, it’s all good.
