Monday Sharks Links: Stollery, Langlois, Emanuelsson re-signed

  • The Barracuda’s inaugural roster continues to be built as the organization re-signed defenseman Karl Stollery and forwards Jeremy Langlois and Petter Emanuelsson to two-way contracts over the weekend. If promoted to the NHL level they’ll carry cap hits of $665,500, $610,000 and $971,250, respectively. [SJSharks.com]

  • Corey Pronman writes that the Sharks are one of 13 teams who drafted their new top prospect this weekend…although the player he awards that designation is actually second rounder Jeremy Roy rather than 9th overall pick Timo Meier. [ESPN]

  • After trading Antti Niemi’s negotiating rights to the Stars and seeing just about every other notable goalie name on the trade market change addresses, the Sharks are still attempting to swing a deal to fill their vacant starting netminder position. [Mercury News]

  • More on the Sharks’ continuing search for a goalie, with Doug Wilson confirming he’s more likely to trade for one than sign a goaltender on the UFA market. [CSN Bay Area]/
