How to watch Game 2 of the Western Conference Final & Open Thread

The Dallas Stars got the goaltending they needed against the Las Vegas Golden Knights in Game 1 of the Western Conference Final.

Anton Khudobin stopped all 25 shots he faced, and defenseman John Klingberg’s first period goal held up as the winner as the Stars hung on to beat the Golden Knights 1-0. It was a physical game that saw the two teams combine for 96 hits.

Vegas went with Marc-Andre Fleury in the opener, but Robin Lehner will get the start in net for Game 2. The Knights need to get their offense going if they want to beat Dallas. Vegas has just one non-empty net goal in the last three games, and the forwards have combined for just two empty netters over the past 251 minutes of game action.

Fourth-line forward Ryan Reaves will be back in the lineup after being suspended for Game 1 for a hit to Vancouver Canucks forward Tyler Motte in Game 7 of their second-round series.

The Stars’ offense has been on fire in the playoffs, averaging 3.18 goals per game. Defenseman Miro Heiskanen is leading Dallas with 21 points (five goals, 16 assists) in 17 playoff games. Denis Gurianov has the most points of any Stars forwards with 17.
