Raffi Torres' return in doubt
The forward is eligible to return on January 14.
The Raffi Torres saga hasn't been much fun for anyone involved in it. He wasn't much liked around these parts before he was acquired and, while I won't claim to know the precise temperature in the room, his popularity isn't exactly booming now.
His suspension of 41 games is just about up. He'll be eligible to return to the Sharks on Jan. 14, though recent medical issues make his return less than likely — at least, unlikely for the Sharks game against the Oilers. Friend of the Blog Kevin Kurz talked to Torres and shared some tweets which I've embedded below.
Raffi Torres still unsure when - or if - he’ll be able to return. Has good days and bad days with his knee. He’d be eligible to play Jan. 14

Raffi: "If I can get over the hump, I still feel like I can be effective. If I don’t, it’s obviously time to think about some other things."

More Raffi: "I owe it to the organization who stuck with me and to everybody that’s helped me along the way to give it my all."

Whether or not you're a fan of what Torres brings to the table, the Sharks could use him if he's healthy. So, like it or not, if he's healthy he'll wear teal again.
