The San Jose Barracuda have long since clinched the top spot in the Pacific and, with one game left in the regular season, are waiting to see who they will play in the first round. They now know at least part of their first round playoff schedule.

Tonightâs game between the Bakersfield Condors (Oilers) and Stockton Heat (Flames) could decide San Joseâs first round opponent. If the Heat get a point out of the game, the Barracuda will play Stockton in the first round. The Condors need to win out while the Heat need to go winless over the final two games of the season for Bakersfield to make the postseason.
San Jose will have home ice all the way until the final round. The only team the Barracuda wonât have home ice against is the Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguins, who have clinched a higher point percentage. The âCuda are gearing up for a long postseason run and it all starts a week from today.
