Sharks release training camp roster, schedule

The Sharks have announced the schedule for their 2018 Training Camp, which will be held primarily at Solar4America Ice at San Jose.

The first day all players will be on the ice is Friday, September 14, after the rookies garner attention in Vegas in their tournament this weekend, and following medicals on September 13.

For the sake of organization, the players will be broken up into three squads (Group A, B and C) and their schedules will vary for the first portion of the camp. Breakdowns for Teams A, B and C will be released at a later date, but here’s a look at the full training camp roster.

Note the following players are attending camp on a tryout basis:

  • F Justin Brazeau – North Bay (OHL)
  • F Jake Gricius – Portland (WHL)
  • F Kyle Topping – Kelowna (WHL)
  • D Keaton Middleton – Saginaw (OHL)
  • G Max Paddock  – Regina (WHL)/

2018 NHL Draft picks Ryan Merkley (defense) and Zachary Emond (goalie) will also be in attendance, getting a taste of professional camp before likely being sent back to the OHL and QMJHL, respectively.

Opening scrimmages are scheduled to take place on September 16 and September 17, and the first preseason game is scheduled for September 18 against Anaheim.

The full preseason schedule can be found here.
