Sharks at Flames Preseason: Rosters, gamethread, and where to watch
One preseason win would be nice.
After falling to the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday, we can now update the Sharks’ preseason goal differential to ... 9 minus 17 is negative eight. Now I know that plus/minus is a certified Bad Stat, but a team-wide -8 just doesn’t look promising.
The good news is none of these games count for anything more than entertainment ... if you can call watching four losses so far entertaining.
It’s the last home preseason game before the regular-season home opener! The Calgary Flames will visit tonight bringing a 2-3 record. The teal home jerseys are nice to look at, and hopefully the hockey will be easy on the eyes too.

#SJSharks lines and d-pairs this AM

Yurtaykin-Thornton-Radil

Kane-Hertl-Gambrell
Bergmann-Goodrow-M. Karlsson
Sorensen-Suomela-Brodzinski
Vlasic-Burns
Dillon-E. Karlsson
Ferraro-Heed
Middleton-Prout
These lines have many more familiar names than Tuesday’s game. There’s five lines and four D-pairs. It’ll be interesting to see which three forward and two defenders are scratched on opening night to bring the game roster to four lines and three D-pairs. Martin Jones is in net.
Flames
#Flames likely going with this look tonight in San Jose:

Quine-Ryan-Rieder
Kirkland-Philp-Robinson
Rinaldo-Froese-Smith Pelly
MacDonald-Andersson
Kylington-Stone
Davidson-Nielsen
Talbot
Zagidulin
I recognize very few of the names on the Flames’ roster. Honestly, Cam Talbot might be the most talented in the group the Flames are playing tonight.
Where to watch
