Sharks at Islanders: Lines, gamethread, and where to watch

This road trip has been a rough one for the San Jose Sharks, who come into this afternoon’s contest with less than a full day of rest and a three-game losing streak. The gap between the Sharks and playoffs grows evermore and while I knew theoretically that the season was lost, is it so wrong to continue to have the smallest bit of hope? Whatever, I love living in denial.

The Islanders most recently pulled out a win over the Detroit Red Wings, which wouldn’t be much to write home about, except that the Sharks have lost to those same exact bottom-feeding Red Wings this season. Sports are fun, aren’t they?
