It’s been far too long since we’ve ignored our family and friends to record our award-winning nationally syndicated podcast (statements not verified by the FCC), but yesterday afternoon we went where we haven’t gone in nearly eight months– to the man cave at Matt’s house, armed with microphones and Macbooks in our neverending quest to bring you the best podcast on the planet a fairly mediocre podcast about the San Jose Sharks.

In the first edition of the 2011-2012 Fear The Fin podcast we cover a slew of topics on hand. The NHLPA’s decision to reject realignment and rumblings of a potential Sharks-Red Wings Winter Classic start the show before we transition into an interview with a man who swept the Bay Area with his passion last week– the man, the myth, the legend, the one and only Zack Phelps (aka Orange Shirt Guy, aka Sharks Fan of The Year).
Following our interview with Mr. Phelps we take a look at the Sharks current run of 8-1-1 in their last ten games, and pick apart the roster just before the halfway point of the season to list our over and underachievers. Always privy to our corporate sponsors, we air a commercial from “Sharks Fan Consulting Group” who recently filed for an IPO (Insane Proposal Offering) and then tackle the upcoming week of Sharks hockey as San Jose hits the road for a four game swing through the Midwest.
