Sharks at Ducks (game 51): Lines, game thread and how to watch

The San Jose Sharks have a shot at finishing out the time before the break on a high note. Following last night’s 2-0 win over the Seattle Kraken, the Sharks are in Anaheim to play the Ducks. This is game three of the battle of the Pacific Division’s worst and we’re all tied up at one apiece. The Ducks won the first round, a 4-1 victory on Nov. 12 at Honda Center. The Sharks held home ice on Jan. 20, when the team beat the Ducks 5-3. The final game of the season series is Feb. 29 at SAP Center.

The Ducks have gained a point or more in the team’s last three games, most recently beating the Minnesota Wild 3-2. Frank Vatrano will represent Anaheim at the All-Star game. He currently leads the team in points (35) and goals (21).

Meanwhile, Tomas Hertl will miss his second game. While he’s too injured to play in a game setting, he’s likely still planning to go to Toronto to represent the Sharks at the All-Star festivities.

Other than that, only a few changes in the lines, according to San Jose Hockey Now’s Sheng Peng. Kaapo Kahkonen will start. That’s no surprise given how the Sharks have gone back and forth between goalies all season. And Kyle Burroughs will be in for Emberson. According to Peng, Emberson has an upper-body injury.

One thing is for sure, the two weeks off will go a long way to getting the Sharks healthy for the backend of the season.

Here’s what we expect the lines to be:
