Sharks at Golden Knights (game 14): Lines, game thread and how to watch

The San Jose Sharks prepare for the second night of back-to-backs. The players are in Las Vegas looking for a third straight win. Vegas has lost two in a row.

No time to rest on their laurels. Less than 24 hours after the San Jose Sharks defeated the Edmonton Oilers and sent a good portion of Canada into a tailspin, the team is back on the ice. The Sharks are in Vegas for the second night of back-to-backs.

Vegas will come out like gangbusters. Not only do these two teams hate each other, which makes every game exciting, but Vegas has lost two in a row after starting the season registering points in its first 12 games. A win for the Sharks could officially make it a losing streak for Vegas while making it a winning streak for San Jose.

Expect to see Kaapo Kahkonen in net tonight. When asked postgame if Mackenzie Blackwood would play against the Golden Knights, Head Coach David Quinn laughed and said it would be goaltender “abuse.”

San Jose Sharks lines

For the Sharks, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. So, don’t expect to see a lot of changes, except maybe one of those fourth-liners watching. I would not be surprised if Kevin Labanc or Mike Hoffman were asked to sit in place of Oskar Lindblom. Lindblom would be a big help on the penalty kill.

Vegas Golden Knights lines

According to SinBin Vegas, Zach Whitecloud will be back in the lineup tonight with Adin Hill in net. Whitecloud underwent surgery before the start of the season to repair an upper-body injury he received during a preseason game. The defenseman has not played with the team yet this season.

Meanwhile, Hill has been very good against his former team. He has a 6-2-0 record and the two losses came when he was playing with the Arizona Coyotes. His goals against average is 2.23 against the Sharks with a .930 save percentage.
