Sharks at Golden Knights (preseason game 5): Lines, open thread and how to watch

The San Jose Sharks will let the young players take the helm against the Golden Knights, icing a line of William Eklund, Quentin Musty and Thomas Bordeleau.

Even if you’re not excited about the season, there’s a lot to be excited about when it comes to the San Jose Sharks game tonight against the Vegas Golden Knights. For one thing, Sharks fans will get a look at first-round draft pick Quentin Musty in an NHL game.

Musty has missed all of the other preseason games while recovering from an injury. Now is his chance to get a taste of the NHL before he’s sent back to his OHL team the Sudbury Wolves. Musty will skate with William Eklund and Thomas Bordeleau offering Sharks fans an exciting look at what a future line could look like in two to three years when the Sharks are out of the rebuild.

Another note for the Sharks tonight. Ty Emberson, who was claimed off of waivers over the weekend, will make his debut for the Sharks. Emberson arrived in San Jose on Sunday night and then took his first practice with the team the next day on Monday.

It sounds like the Sharks will allow many of the young players to take the reins in tonight’s game.
