Sharks send Jeremy Roy back to Blainville-Boisbriand Armada

The San Jose Sharks reduced their training camp roster by one on Wednesday as they sent defender Jeremy Roy back to the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada in the QMJHL.

Roy, who turns 20 in May, scored 34 points in 45 games with the Sherbrooke Phoenix last year. This will be his fourth season in the Q.

The gifted two way defender is progressing nicely so far. He’ll likely play with the Barracuda next season with a chance to make the Sharks depending on how everything else shakes out.

Roy’s return comes on the heels of a 3-2 overtime win by the Sharks on Tuesday night. He played 17 minutes and six seconds and recorded one shot on goal while blocking a pair.
