Sharks vs. Avalanche Lines: Timo Meier returns to the lineup

The Sharks start a road back-to-back against the Avalanche tonight with some good news on the injury front as Timo Meier gets back in the lineup. The Swiss forward will play on the fourth line, likely to limit his minutes as he returns from a “minor injury.”

Ryan Carpenter is out of the lineup and Tommy Wingels has taken over the fourth line center job for the evening. I suppose this comes as a response to all the “Carpenter has earned the fourth line center job” articles we all wrote over the past week.

Today’s lines are courtesy of Acquaintance of the Blog Curtis Pashelka.

Patrick Marleau — Joe Thornton — Joe Pavelski

Kevin Labanc — Logan Couture — Mikkel Boedker

Joonas Donskoi — Chris Tierney — Joel Ward

Timo Meier — Tommy Wingels — Melker Karlsson

Paul Martin — Brent Burns

Marc-Edouard Vlasic — Justin Braun

Brenden DIllon — David Schlemko

What do you think of the lineup? Giving DeBoer the benefit of the doubt that Meier is being worked back from injury, I don’t mind it; although I’ll admit I’m disappointed to see Carpenter out of the lineup. It’s also interested to see Mikkel Boedker up on the second line while Joonas Donskoi is down on the third line.
