Sharks vs. Bruins: Lines, gamethread and where to watch

The Sharks enter tonight’s contest with the Boston Bruins riding a four-game point streak but on a two-game losing streak. San Jose can get back in the win column against the Bruins at 4 p.m. PT. The Sharks have lost back-to-back games to inferior opponents while earning loser points while Boston just fired its head coach.

In a battle of weird narratives, Martin Jones returns to his old club where he spent all of four days in the 2015 offseason. Jones was traded from the Los Angeles Kings to the Bruins in the Milan Lucic deal before being flipped to the Sharks for San Jose’s first-round draft pick.

An actual former Bruin, Joe Thornton, makes his eighth return to Boston as a member of the Sharks. San Jose is 5-2 in Beantown since trading for Jumbo back in November of 2005. Thornton has six points in seven games in Boston as a member of Team Teal and a total of 11 points in 13 contests against the club that drafted him No. 1 overall in the 1997 draft.

Enough nostalgia! Let’s get to the details on tonight’s contest. You can see today’s lines below courtesy of Friend of the Blog Kevin Kurz. Marcus Sorensen was the sacrificial lamb after San Jose blew a 4-1 lead against Buffalo. Ryan Carpenter draws back into the lineup and Micheal Haley plays as his left wing.
