Sharks vs. Canucks Preview: San Jose starts preseason slate

The San Jose Sharks hit the ice for the first time since June as Team Teal hosts the Vancouver Canucks in its first preseason game of the year. While the game will not be televised (or streamed, for that matter) you can listen on 98.5 KFOX and online at sjsharks.com. We’ll have a recap of the game later tonight and some news and notes the following day.

Here’s what we’re looking at in terms of lineup for both teams:

That Sheppard is in fact James Sheppard, the former San Jose Shark. As for the Sharks, they’ll be without Timo Meier who continues to suffer with a mystery illness. He is expected to practice today.

Here are the Sharks projected lines:

Sorensen-Tierney-Wingels

Nieto-Carpenter-Goodrow

Goldobin-Chartier-Labanc

McCarthy-O’Regan-Haley

Dillon-Schlemko

Mueller-DeMelo

Ryan-Roy

Grosenick

Armalis

UPDATE: Here are the line rushes from today’s morning skate. Troy Grosenick will start in net for the Sharks.
