Last Meeting
The Flames came out on top of the last meeting between the two teams, beating the Sharks 4-2 at the Saddledome. Chris Tierney and Joe Thornton had goals for the Sharks, while starter Martin Jones was pulled from the game in the second period after allowing three goals on 14 shots. Alex Stalock finished the game, saving 18 of the 19 shots he faced.
Storylines
- After getting his fourth shutout of the season on Saturday night, it should be safe to assume Martin Jones will start in net for San Jose tonight. We'll have lineups when they're available.
- Six different Sharks players had goals on Saturday, including two from Tomas Hertl, who had only had two in his last 34 games. A scoring boost from him would be a great and much-needed thing for the Sharks right now.
- The Sharks and Flames are currently tied for fifth in the Pacific. A win tonight coupled with a Vancouver loss would put San Jose in a tie for third place in the division with the Canucks. /
