Sharks vs. Penguins, Game 3 Highlights: Joonas Donskoi’s beauty gives Sharks first Stanley Cup Final win

The San Jose Sharks won their first ever Stanley Cup Final game on Saturday night. I feel like I could write that 100 times and never get tired of it. The Sharks played their best game of the series and Joonas Donskoi rewarded their efforts with an absolutely perfect tally in overtime. You’re going to want to see this a few times.

To hold possession here is one thing, to whip around and thread this puck between two defenders and over Matt Murray is…well, I would have said it’s impossible until Donskoi did it. What an absolutely gorgeous goal. If this series goes long, remember this goal.

The Penguins took an early lead in this series, but Justin Braun took an absolute rocket of a shot to tie this thing up.

Pittsburgh took its second lead of the night in the final minute of the second period and then Joel Ward capitalized on a four-minute power play to tie things up again.

Yeah, this is one that Murray wants back — but it doesn’t matter. Sharks catch a break and Donskoi made it not matter. We’ll see you for game four.
