Welcome to the new Fear the Fin!

A change in management calls for an updated user guide. Whether this is your first time here or you’re a regular visitor, we’re stoked to have you. Here’s what you can expect from us for the 2017-18 season:

Game Day Coverage

We want to be your game day location for our beloved Sharks. Starting bright and early, we’ll hit you with a preview of each game’s match up. About an hour before game time, we’ll give you the projected lineups for both teams, tell you where to watch, and let you go at it in the comment section all game long. We’ll wrap it up with a recap at the end of the game, so you can relive or catch up on all the action.

Analysis

Our staff will provide a variety of insight into both the Sharks and the NHL. With a balance of statistics and the eye test, we can let you know what’s happening, why it’s happening, and if it could happen any other way.

On-site Interviews and Exclusives

We want to find stories that aren’t already covered by every other Sharks site and as a credentialed member of the San Jose Sharks media, we have the opportunity to create unique stories. Members of Fear the Fin will be at various games, practices, and events, getting the inside scoop right from the players themselves.

Prospects Coverage

The team doesn’t start and end with the Sharks’ roster. We’ll keep you up-to-date with the San Jose Barracuda, the Allen Americans, and prospects throughout the NCAA and CHL, as well as other leagues.

Fanposts

SB Nation is by the fans, for the fans. We want to hear your voices! If you have a perspective, we’re ready to hear it. We’ll feature Fanposts across our social media on Fridays and pins our favorites to the front page. If you’ve thought about writing for us, this is a great way to get started – plenty of writers across SB Nation started by writing Fanposts and we’re always looking for new talent.

And more!

Our schedule is filled with fun events and features throughout the season. Fear the Fin isn’t just a blog – it’s a community. We hope you connect with other people who love the men in teal just as much as you do.
