Brent Burns named third star of week by NHL

They let the Wookiee win...third place.

Brent Burns had a good week for the Sharks. San Jose went 2-1 in the week ending March 6 and Burns contributed six points in that stretch, scoring three goals and dishing three assists. He was one of three Sharks to tally three points against the Montreal Canadiens on Feb. 29.

From NHL.com:

Burns paced all defensemen with 3-3-6 in three games to guide the Sharks (35-23-6, 76 points) to a pair of wins. He notched 1-2-3, his third three-point effort of the season, in a 6-2 victory over the Montreal Canadiens Feb. 29. Burns followed that performance with another multi-point game, logging 1-1-2 in a 3-2 triumph against the Vancouver Canucks March 3. He capped the week with his career-high 23rd goal of the season, tops among defensemen, in a 4-2 loss to the Canucks March 5. The 30-year-old Barrie, Ont., native has collected 23-34-57 in 64 appearances this season, second among defensemen and three points shy of his career high set in 2014-15 (17-43-60 in 82 GP).
