NHL Playoffs 2016 Day 5: TV, streaming info, gamethread

Game 1: Blues (1-1) vs. Blackhawks (1-1)

When: 12 p.m. PST

TV: NBC

Stream: Live Extra

Why you should watch: To root against the Blackhawks, primarily. Oh, and these teams hate each other a lot which can make for physical, if sometimes low event, contests.

Game 2: Lightning (2-0) vs. Red Wings (0-2)

When: 4 p.m. PST

TV: CNBC

Stream: Live Extra

Why you should watch: The Stamkos-free Lightning have a chance to take a commanding 3-0 series lead on the Red Wings as the series shifts to Detroit. The rivalry with the Red Wings may be a thing of the past, but it’s still at least a little fun to see them struggle. A little.

Game 3: Panthers (1-1) vs. Islanders (1-1)

When: 5 p.m. PST

TV: NBC Sports

Stream: Live Extra

Why you should watch: This might be the tightest series in the Eastern Conference. The Panthers played very well and game one and lost and were outplayed in game two and won and now the series moves to Brooklyn where we’ll be able to enjoy the shitty sightlines of Barclays Center.

Game 4: Predators (1-0) vs. Ducks (0-1)

When: 7:30 p.m. PST

TV: NBC Sports

Stream: Live Extra

Why you should watch: Well for one thing what else are you doing on a Sunday night? No, you don’t have plans. Right, the other reason is watching the Ducks lose is a joy and after the results of game one we can enjoy a little hope that Nashville can steal another win in Anaheim. It’s good to have hope.
