Preview: Ducks at Sharks
Coming off a victory against the Florida Panthers Thursday night, the Sharks are looking once again to put together their first consecutive wins since their 4-0-0 start at the beginning of this season. The Ducks are looking to prevent anything of the sort and instead, seek their straight win.
The Sharks look to string together back-to-back wins at home against the Anaheim Ducks. Peter DeBoer has allowed his team an extra day of rest, hoping that it will give them the edge they need to come out on top.

Storylines
- After getting off to a terrible start, the Anaheim Ducks are starting to regain some of their dignity. The Ducks have won their last two games while the Sharks haven't been able to put together any sort of streak since their four straight wins coming out of the gate.
- Anaheim captain Ryan Getzlaf returned to the line up Friday night against the Blue Jackets after sitting out a few games following an appendectomy on Oct. 28.
- Following their 5-2 win against the Florida Panthers Thursday evening, the Sharks did not put in ice-time on Friday. DeBoer has allowed his team additional rest on several occasions during this tough stretch of games that began in Dallas on Oct. 31. The Ducks met with the Columbus Blue Jackets Friday night, so their trip to San Jose will be the second half of their back-to-back. Ideally, the additional rest will give the Sharks an energy boost when the take the ice Saturday.
- DeBoer has continued to tinker with the Sharks roster. Joonas Donskoi (1G, 1st Star against the Panthers) will be a player to keep an eye on. Nikolay Goldobin and Micheal Haley were called up from the AHL Barracuda for the match up against the Panthers. Haley ended the night as 3rd star and both will likely be playing on the Sharks third and fourth lines against the Ducks.
