Sharks recall Micheal Haley from Barracuda

San Jose has brought Micheal Haley back up to the big club ahead of tonight’s game against the Washington Capitals. No word on if Haley will draw into the lineup or what the corresponding move is.

It’s too bad that Haley is the go-to call-up guy given his talent level; though if it’s just to fill space in the press box, more power to him. Press release below.

SAN JOSE – San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled forward Micheal Haley from the San Jose Barracuda (@sjbarracuda) of the American Hockey League (@theAHL).

Haley, 29, has posted 23 points (12 goals, 11 assists) in 38 games with the Barracuda this season. He has appeared in 10 games with the Sharks this season, posting one goal and 31 penalty minutes.

The five-foot-ten, 205-pound native of Guelph, Ontario, was signed by San Jose as a free agent on July 10, 2014.
