Sharks vs. Avalanche Preview: Back from the break

The Sharks entered the Christmas break on a positive note with a comeback victory against the Kings. Now San Jose heads back home after a long road trip looking to make positive strides in a building they’ve had a tough time winning in — their own. Colorado is a bad team, which probably does little to assauge the concerns of anyone who’s followed this team for more than five minutes.

Still, Joel Ward looks set to return for the Sharks and Logan Couture was skating on Sunday, so perhaps things aren’t so bad after all. This is a good opportunity for the Sharks to start a homestand on the right fin against a Colorado team that’s probably not quite as good as their record indicates; which for a team under .500…yeah. It’s not great Bob.
