USA vs. Canada, 2016 World Junior Hockey: Time and TV schedule
The Americans open tournament play against their fiercest rival.
Historically a United States-Canada game, at any level, needs little extra selling. Still, it can't hurt that Sharks fans will have the opportunity to see one of San Jose's prospects battle it out against the Americans. Chartier was drafted in the fifth round of the 2014 NHL draft and currently plays for the Kelowna Rockets in British Columbia.
The United States didn't reach the medal round of the 2015 tournament, falling to Russia in the bracket portion of the contest. Today's game, which tips off at 10 a.m., can be found on NHL Network. All four of the American's group stage games will be on NHL Network.
We'll have a quick recap of this contest in addition to a daily Sharks prospect roundup every day of the World Junior Championships.
Feel free to discuss today's game below — and don't worry, San Jose hockey will be back sooner than you know it. The Sharks take on the Avalanche on Monday.
